The Church That Is Different and Why?

1934 Brochure From First Baptist Church, Fort Worth, TX

J. Frank Norris was a master at moving people and promoting his ministries. Whether through the pulpit, radio, or printed press, Norris was constantly pushing his ministry to the masses. On this page we will look at an example of the media propaganda machine of the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth, TX.

I purchased this small forty page brochure on eBay a short time ago. I have been keeping an eye out for Norris paraphernalia for a couple of years now and I have never seen anything like this. This is a small pamphlet promoting the work of Norris and the First Baptist Church.

The pamphlet itself measures about 6" by 3 1/2". I believe it was published in 1934. I think this would have been used as a "church tract" for promoting the church. There is quite a bit of information packed into these pages. This text of the tract is included in Claude Chambers' book, The Rise and Fall of J. Frank Norris.
