Review:

     Sin is when we break God’s rule

     We are all sinners

I. There is a consequence for sin.

     1. God is Just – Deuteronomy 32:4

     2. Justice declares that any wrong act deserves punishment

     3. Therefore, there is a consequence for our wrong doing – Romans 6:23

II. There are two choices for Eternity

     1. Heaven

          Heaven is perfect and holy, and nothing imperfect of unholy can enter

          Our sin keeps us out of Heaven

     2. Hell

          Luke 16:28 – place of torment

          Matthew 25:41 – everlasting fire

          Mark 9:44 – where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched

          Revelation 21:8 – the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone

          Revelation 9:8 – bottomless pit

          Matthew 8:12 – outer darkness, weeping and gnashing of teeth

          Luke 3:17 – fire unquenched

          Matthew 13:42 – furnace of fire

          Jude 13 – blackness of darkness

          Revelation 14:11 – the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and forever, and they have no rest day or night.

     As beautiful and wonderful as Heaven is, Hell is just as awful.

III. Our destination depends on our actions.

     1. If we are guilty of one sin, we cannot get into Heaven

     2. If we do nothing, we are doomed to Hell.

     3. Therefore, something must happen to change our course…
