1. Sinner – we are all sinners

2. Sentence – we are all doomed to Hell

3. Saviour – Christ paid our debt for us

4. Solution – We are saved by faith

I. Salvation is having, owning, ETERNAL life.

     John 3:16, 36

     Eternal is forever; if it is forever, you can’t lose it

     Christ’s definition of eternal life - John 17:3

III. Our Salvation and Security rest on:

     1. God’s purpose – John 3:16

     2. God’s power – Romans 8:31

     3. God’s love – Romans 5:8

IV. Paul was convinced of Security – 2 Timothy 1:12

V. It’s the reason John wrote

     John 20:30-31 – Gospel

     I John 5:13 – Epistle

VI. Who does the saving, us or God?

     Since we are incapable of saving ourselves, God must do the saving.

OBJECTIONS SOLVED

     I. But I sinned!

          Saved does not mean perfect.

     II. I not sure if I meant it or understood it at the time!

          You did what God said, and God will keep His word.

     III. What about that verse…!

          Almost all verses are taken out of context.
